Lapacho tea is made from the inner bark of the Lapacho tree, which because of its many medical effects is also called the divine tree. (Tabebuia impetiginosa)
Preparation:
You use 10-15 g per litre, i.e. about 4-5 teaspoons. As for the steeping time there are different recommendations: Some people boil the water and then let it steep for 4-6 minutes. Others say, as Lapacho is not a leaf, but the bark of a tree, it takes longer for its taste and its active ingredients to be resolved than with other herbs. They boil the water, add the lapacho and let it simmer for 5 minutes. After that keep it covered and let it steep for 10-15 minutes. If you try both ways, you will know which one you like more.
